Post by Brian BenderThanks, Jeremy. Any chance you could post the disk image’s checksums
on the download page, since the actual file is served from
“dl.bintray.com” ?
The checksum is more to check for download issues. For verification, the best truth is that the .pkg is signed by me. For those wanting to redistribute and wanting to verify the dmg itself rather than the .pkg contained therein, I suggest that you use the gpg signature file.
If you want the checksums on all the download pages, it’ll take time and I don’t immediately see the value. If you want to make the change yourself, send a pull request. I have nothing against the change (just against me doing the work ;>).
The website source is at https://github.com/XQuartz/xquartz.github.io. If you want to do this, I suggest adding a new field to each of the _releases/XQuartz-*.md files for md5sum: sha1sum: and sha256sum: and populate them based on the contents at bintray. Then just update the template to show those values if they’re set. If you’re not sure how to do the second part but are willing to do the leg work for the first part, I’ll update the template.

Post by Jeremy Huddleston SequoiaHi folks,
I just released XQuartz 2.7.9. The only changes from 2.7.9_rc2 were updated versions of freetype, libpng, and xterm.
