HI Guys. I would like my Mac to boot straight to xquartz instead of having
to boot the osx desktop first. Is this at all possible :? I'm currently
running mavericks but have the choice between mavericks, snow leopard and
leopard.

If you want X11 to be *the* window server, that's not an option.

You could have XQuartz run on login and configure it for fullscreen mode. That is probably the closest you can get short of ripping out the OSX WindowServer and writing a new DDX.
